Approving Porter & Porter Construction LLC Change Order #1 Re: Monticello Emergency Response Center, in the decreased amount of $23,150.00

WHEREAS, Porter & Porter Construction LLC contracted with the city to complete construction of the Monticello Emergency Response Center, consistent with previously prepared plans and specifications, and

WHEREAS, During the course of the construction project it became apparent that certain conditions and other factors, not originally anticipated or fully considered during the planning of the project, justified a change or modification of the original plans and specifications and building construction, and

WHEREAS, The City Architect, the Contractor, the Ambulance Director, Police Chief and the City Administrator, in consultation with a council member or two and the USDA representative on this project, have all considered proposed additions and deletions to the plans as originally approved, and have agreed that both the proposed additions and deletions are appropriate, and have so informed the City Council, and

WHEREAS, The City Council, after considering the recommendations of the above-referenced parties, is in agreement with the changes to the project as addressed within the Change Order request.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve Change Order #1 as presented in the decreased amount of $23,150.00.
