RESOLUTION #09-115
Resolution to consider approval of 28E agreement with regard to Senior Dining.
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved contributions to the Senior Dining in the past on an annual basis, based upon requests received from the Senior Dining Director, and
WHEREAS, the amount of contribution varies, as does the regularity of contributions from those Jones County communities served by Senior Dining, and
WHEREAS, A 28E agreement has been drafted and reviewed by a number of the Jones County communities served by the Senior Dining Program, same setting forth with specificity the obligations of the member communities, the creation of an Advisory Board, and sets out other terms and provisions related to the program, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the 28E Agreement should be approved, subject to the approval of same by all other entities served by the Senior Dining Program, specifically including Jones County, and the Cities of Anamosa, Olin, Oxford Junction, and Wyoming.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve the proposed 28E Agreement, subject to the formal approval of same by all other participating communities, including Jones County, and the Cities of Anamosa, Olin, Oxford Junction, and Wyoming.
