Resolution to Approve Request for Cost-Share from Storm-Water Mgmt. Fund
WHEREAS, At the request of the City of Monticello, Vernon Vacek, property owner, took steps to clear and shore up a portion of the 6th Street Ditch lying along and/or within his property that had caved in or otherwise become somewhat plugged, and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to the Monticello Code of Ordinances, Mr. Vacek has requested that the City share in the expenses related to this project by payment of one-half of the expenses, said sum to come from the Storm Water Management Fund, and
WHEREAS, The City Council is authorized, pursuant to that ordinance, to pay up to 50% of the costs related to such a project, and
WHEREAS, The City Council finds that the work has been satisfactorily completed, that the invoice is within acceptable ranges of cost for such a project, and that it is appropriate for the City to pay Mr. Vacek the sum of $334.00 towards said project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve and authorize payment to Vern Vacek in the amount of $334.00 from the City of Monticello Storm Water management fund for the reasons previously set out herein.
