RESOLUTION #10-13
Certification to the County Treasurer of delinquent and unpaid charges related to the provision of Water, Sewer, and Solid Waste Collection by the City of Monticello.
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello, Iowa is an incorporated City within Jones County, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, the City provided water, sewer, and solid waste collection services to the properties described below, and
WHEREAS, the account holders identified below has failed to satisfy the account balance(s) noted below, and
WHEREAS, notice of the City’s intent to impose a lien on the account holder’s property, was mailed to the Owners as identified below more than thirty days ago, and said account remains past due and unsatisfied.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Monticello, Iowa does hereby direct the City Clerk to certify the delinquent account holder and premises identified below to the County Treasurer for the imposition of a lien upon said real estate so that same may be collected in the same manner as property taxes.
