RESOLUTION #10-35
Approving “Collection of Recyclables Agreement” by and between City of Monticello and Bacon Recycling.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello has contracted with Bacon Recycling since about 1999 whereby Bacon Recycling has agreed to perform curbside recycling pick-up within the City of Monticello according to the terms and provisions of said agreement, and
WHEREAS, The agreement between the City of Monticello and Bacon Recycling was last renewed in June of 2005 and has automatically renewed under the same terms and provisions since that time, and
WHEREAS, The City and Bacon both desire to renew the contract, and have discussed and considered the mutual benefit of entering into a three (3) year agreement under the same terms and provisions of the current agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve the “Collection of Recyclables Agreement” by and between the City of Monticello and Bacon Recycling, for a period of three years, to commence on the first day of June, 2010 and continuing through the 31st day of May 2013, subject to annual automatic approval thereafter according to the terms and provisions set out within said agreement, a copy of said final agreement to be appended to this resolution, and incorporated herein as part of this Resolution as if the same had been set forth fully verbatim herein.
