The City of Monticello, Iowa
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #11-05
Resolution Accepting bids for Community Building HVAC Replacement and Awarding bid to Kraus Plumbing and Heating, subject to the execution of an agreement by and between Kraus Plumbing and Heating and the City of Monticello, same to set out the terms of the agreement between Kraus Plumbing and Heating and the City of Monticello with regard to said project.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello published a Notice to Bidders with regard to the replacement of an HVAC system located in the Monticello Community Building in the December 15th edition of the Monticello Express, and
WHEREAS, Bids were received prior to December 29th at 4:00 p.m. pursuant to said notice and opened in the Council Chambers by City Clerk Sally Hinrichsen and City Administrator Doug Herman shortly after 4:00 p.m. on the 29th, and
WHEREAS, three (3) bids were received, and the tabulation is as follows:

Coyles Plumbing $6,906.00 $7,738.49 ( 15.5 seer 2-stage AC bid alternate)
Next Generation $7,000.00 $8,700.00 (15.5 seer 2-stage AC bid alternate)

WHEREAS, The Council has reviewed the specifics of the bids and finds it appropriate to accept the bids and to award the project to Kraus Plumbing and Heating.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby accept the bids and does hereby award the project to Kraus Plumbing and Heating in the amount of $ 3,640.00.
