THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #11-120
Approving Contract between TRICON General Construction, Inc. and the City of Monticello for the purpose of constructing the Monticello Airport Terminal Building.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The City Council previously approved and authorized city staff to solicit bids related to the Monticello Terminal Building, and
WHEREAS, Bids were accepted, and the bid of the low bidder, TRICON, was previously accepted, with the award of the contract being delayed pending FAA funding approval for said project, and
WHEREAS, the FAA has approved of the City’s use of entitlement funds for purposes of constructing the terminal building as designed, and the Council has forwarded said grant agreement, and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that TRICON was the lowest responsive, responsible bidder and that the contract as proposed, for the base bid and bid alternate #2, the mezzanine, should be approved.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 30th day of August 2011, that the Contract Agreement between the City of Monticello and TRICON General Construction, Inc., as proposed, should be approved and does hereby direct the Mayor Pro Tem to execute same on behalf of the Monticello City Council.
