IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION # 11-145
Approving Sale of used Fencing to Sacred Heart School,
WHEREAS, The Park and Recreation Board has discussed the possibility of selling used fencing, approximately 3’ in height, 200’ in length, with poles and top rail as needed to Sacred Heart School at the rate of $1.00 per running foot, or $200.00, with the further understanding that Sacred Heart will be responsible for the removal of all of the fencing at the Jaycees Field and the transportation of the 200’ they are purchasing, and
WHEREAS, The Board intended to replace and reposition said fence in the spring of 2012, the fence to be replaced with new, taller, fencing, and
WHEREAS, The Park Board is comfortable with the price, particularly in light of the fact that Sacred Heart will be responsible for the removal of all fencing and transportation of that which they are purchasing, and has requested that the City Council authorize this transaction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby authorize the Park and Recreation Board to sell approximately 200’ of fencing to Sacred Heart School at the rate of $1.00 per running foot including necessary top rail and posts with the further understanding that Sacred Heart School will be responsible for the removal of all of the fencing presently installed around the Jaycees Field and the transportation of that which they are buying as set out herein.
