IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION # 11-53
Resolution to approve payment to Vision Iowa CAT Grant Program in the amount of $9,000, as reimbursement for Grant Proceeds previously received and related to the Aquatic Center project.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello received a Vision Iowa CAT Grant in the amount of $150,000 related to the construction of the Aquatic Center bases upon proposed total project costs of $2,839,045, and
WHEREAS, The City entered into a CAT Agreement, # 01-CAT-005, which included various terms and provisions related to the City’s receipt of said funds, one of same being an obligation to refund CAT Grant proceeds to the Vision Iowa Fund if the total project cost were to come in under the cost proposed within and supporting the grant award., and
WHEREAS, The Aquatic Center total project cost came in at $2,363,044.52, $476,000.48 less than proposed in the grant agreement, and for that reason, the CAT Grant Administrator has requested reimbursement from the City in the amount of $9,000, said payment closing out this project and putting the City into full compliance, making us eligible for future CAT Grant Applications and potential awards.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the reimbursement as requested to the Vision Iowa CAT Grant Program in the amount of $9,000, resulting in the full and final closing out of the Family Aquatic Center Project.
