IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #11-54
Approving Hangar Space Lease between the Monticello Regional
Airport (City of Monticello) & Jim Rohlf
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello, Iowa is an incorporated city within Jones County, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello has been approached by Jim Rohlf, and he has requested permission to construct a new hangar at the Monticello Regional Airport, same to be 80’ x 60’ in size and to be located immediately adjacent to and East of the Weber Stone and City of Monticello hangars of identical size, and
WHEREAS, The Monticello Airport Board has considered the request and finds that the construction of a Hangar on the property to be in the best interests of the City and has recommended to the City Council that they approve of the construction of said hangar as well as the entry into a lease agreement with Mr. Rohlf, consistent with the lease agreement between the City and Weber Stone.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the erection of an 80’ x 60’ Hangar by Jim Rohlf on the grounds of the Monticello Regional Airport, immediately adjacent to and to and East of the Weber Stone and City of Monticello Hangars, for an original term of twenty (20) years, from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2031, with up to three ten (10) year extensions thereafter at the discretion of the lessee, with a formal lease agreement to be approved by the Council consistent with this Resolution
