THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION 11-76
Authorizing the Mayor Pro Tem to inform Eastern Iowa Excavating
& Concrete LLC that the City Council has authorized them to
proceed with mobilization and start-up procedures related to the
2011 Second Street Reconstruction Project.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello let bids for the Second Street reconstruction project, bids were received and opened and Eastern Iowa Excavating & Concrete LLC, and
WHEREAS, The City has accepted the Eastern Iowa Excavating & Concrete LLC, bid and a Contract has been reviewed by the City Engineer, executed by Eastern Iowa Excavating & Concrete LLC, and approved by the City Council, and
WHEREAS, based upon the acceptance of the Eastern Iowa Excavating & Concrete LLC, bid, and the approval of the contract between Eastern Iowa Excavating & Concrete LLC ,and the City by both parties, the City desires that Eastern Iowa Excavating & Concrete LLC,. take immediate steps to mobilize and start construction of the planned improvements associated with the 2011 Second Street Reconstruction Project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello City Council in session this 16th day of May 2011 that the Mayor Pro Tem be authorized to sign and forward a letter to Eastern Iowa Excavating & Concrete LLC, a Letter of Notice to Proceed, requesting that they take immediate steps to mobilize and start construction of the planned improvements associated with the 2011 Second Street Reconstruction Project.
