THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #11-87
Resolution approving the hiring of Pat Callahan, Snyder and Associates, to present and facilitate discussions with the City Council on the issue of “Form of Government”.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Monticello has identified the issue of “Form of Government” as an issue or topic that deserves discussion and consideration by the Council and the citizens of Monticello, and
WHEREAS, That the process of considering all Form of Government options should first be considered by the Council and followed up with a public forum on the topic, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that it would be appropriate to contract with an outside entity to assist the Council and the public in the consideration of the relevant issues, and finds that Pat Callahan, with Snyder and Associates, for this purpose is appropriate, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that Mr. Callahan should be contracted with to perform the Council workshop as quoted for the sum of $600.00, and the Public Forum as quoted in the amount of $300.00, plus any additional sums related to consultations with staff in regard to the preparation of documents necessary for the public forum.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 6th day of June, 2011, does hereby approve of the contracting with Pat Callahan of Snyder and Associates as set out within the body of this Resolutions, and authorizes the City Administrator to so notify Mr. Callahan and to determine dates that would work for Mr. Callahan to meet with the Council later this month.
