IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION # 12-111
Approving Payment of retainage to Eastern Iowa Excavating in the amount of $38,158.35, Re: 2nd Street Reconstruction project.
WHEREAS, Eastern Iowa Excavating and Concrete has completed the 2nd Street Reconstruction project and the Council has previously accepted the public improvements, and
WHEREAS, The Council approved the final pay request in June and has since held the project retainage in the amount of $38,158.35, subject to the receipt of lien waivers from sub-contractors, all of which have now been received, and
WHEREAS, More than thirty (30) days has passed since the final payment and acceptance of the improvements, and
WHEREAS, The City Engineer recommends that the City approve of the release of the project retainage at this time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby authorize the City Clerk to make payment to Eastern Iowa Excavating and Concrete in the amount of $38,158.35, same comprising the project retainage presently held by the City.
