IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #12-136
Resolution to approve the hiring of Tim Schultz to Public Works position
WHEREAS, The Council previously approved of the filling of a vacant position within the public works department, and
WHEREAS, A committee comprised of three council members, the Mayor, the City Administrator, and the Public Works Director, met to review all applications, to narrow the field to those that the committee found should be interviewed, and then interviewed eight (8) candidates, and
WHEREAS, The Committee reached the conclusion that Tim Schultz was the best candidate for the open position based upon his recent directly relevant public works experience with the City of North Liberty, in addition to other factors noted in the application and discussed during the interview, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that it should approve the recommendation of the committee, and finds that Tim Schultz is a qualified candidate and should be approved for hire.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Monticello does hereby approve the hiring of Tim Schultz as a new worker in the Public Works Department, to be classified as a Street’s Department worker under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
