RESOLUTION # 12-36
Approving investment in the 4th of July Fireworks and related events, to be
held on July 6, 2012, in the amount of $2,600.00
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The Council has been advised that the City of Monticello Firefighter’s Organization will be heading up this year’s 4th of July festivities, that will include a band, fireworks, beverage and food stand(s), and
WHEREAS, the Council finds it appropriate and proper to invest in this event by providing $2,600.00 towards the project costs, and
WHEREAS, the Council understands that adults will be charged admission to the band, however, after a fixed time, prior to the fireworks, all others will be allowed in with no mandatory admission fee, and with the understanding that children will be granted free access at all times during the band or thereafter.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 19th day of March 2012, that the City Council does hereby approve of an investment in the amount of $2,600.00 payable to the Monticello Firefighter’s Organization based upon the above and foregoing findings.
