RESOLUTION #12-47
Resolution authorizing termination of Steve Ehrisman Yard Waste agreement,
re-writing of specification, and re-bidding of services.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The City previously entered into a contract with Steve Ehrisman to receive and manage the City’s yard waste, and
WHEREAS, The agreement was originally entered in 2000 and was last renewed in 2008, and
WHEREAS, The City does not take most of its’ leaves to Ehrisman at this point and the yard waste going to Ehrisman is no longer being composted as originally agreed, and
WHEREAS, based thereon, it is in the best interest of the City to re-write the specification and re-bid the service, with a new effective date of June 1, 2012.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 19th day of March, 2012, that the City Administrator should notify Steve Ehrisman of the termination of the agreement between the City and Ehrisman, should re-write the specification related to said service and thereafter publish a notice to bidders related thereto, with a new agreement to be in place by June 1, 2012.
