IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION # 12-83
Approving Trial Yard Waste Agreement with Jeff Monck
WHEREAS, The City Council has determined it appropriate to look at different options for the disposition of City yard waste, and
WHEREAS, Jeff Monck, who presently accepts leaves from the City during fall leaf pickup, has offered to accept City yard waste from the City on a one year trial basis consistent with the terms of an agreement attached hereto in return for a monthly payment of $175.00, same being ½ of what is presently being paid, and
WHEREAS, The City will be required to deliver the yard waste to the Monck property which will take a little more time than it currently takes to deliver the waste to the current contract recipient, and
WHEREAS, The City yard waste will be mulched and used by Monck as part of his farming operations and will be re-used if you will, whereas at the present the yard waste is not being mulched or re-used, primarily being piled and stored, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the approval of the proposed agreement is in the best interests of the City and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve the proposed Yard Waste Agreement between the City of Monticello and Jeff Monck as proposed within the agreement attached hereto.
