IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #12-90
Approving Eastern Iowa Excavating Pay Request #9 in the amount of $17,991.72 and Change Orders #5 and #6, in the amounts of $1,381.25 and $32,170.94, respectively, and acceptance of the project as being complete and in substantial conformance with the project plans and specifications, related to the 2nd Street Reconstruction Project
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello, Iowa is an incorporated City within Jones County, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, Eastern Iowa Excavating has contracted with the City to perform the 2nd Street reconstruction project, and
WHEREAS, The City Engineer has reviewed the substantially completed project with the Contractor and recommends that the Council approve Pay Request #9 in the amount of $17,991.72, and change Orders #5 and #6, both being related to changes in project quantities determined to be appropriate and necessary by the City Engineer during the course of the project, and
WHEREAS, The City Council finds, based upon the recommendation of the City Engineer that the project is complete, substantially consistent with the plans and specifications, and should therefore be accepted by the City.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve Pay Request #9 in the amount of $17,991.72, and Change Orders #5 and #6, in the amounts of $1,381.25 and $32,170.94, respectively, which are addressed and included within Pay Request #9, to Eastern Iowa Excavating and Concrete and directs the Clerk to see to the payment of said amount consistent herewith and further, on the recommendation of the City Engineer, does hereby accept the project as being complete and in substantial conformance with the project plans and specifications.
