IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #13-105
Resolution authorizing payment to McElmeel Excavating and Grading in the amount of $57,574.00
in full payment of Julin Printing demolition project.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello acquired the property formerly home of Julin Printing Company, as part of a FEMA supported flood buy out of properties in the Kitty Creek corridor along Locust, Washington, and Grand Street in Monticello, and
WHEREAS, With the assistance of ECICOG, a competitive bidding process was undertaken to obtain bids related to demolition and asbestos abatement, McElmeel Excavating and Grading, Monticello, Iowa, being the low bidder and being hired to perform the demolition at the cost of $57,574.00, and
WHEREAS, The City share of the demolition/abatement process is 15%, or $8,636.10
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of payment to Jerry McElmeel Excavating and Grading in the amount of $57,574.00.
