THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #13-106
Resolution Scheduling Public Hearing on the redirection of certain funds from previously budgeted and partially bonded for projects to other Public Purposes, specifically, City Street repair and reconstruction projects including the 2nd Street Project, 2012-2013 Street Repair Projects and 2013-2014 Street Repair Projects.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello is duly incorporated, organized and exists under and by virtue of the laws and Constitution of the State of Iowa; and
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello is in need of funds to pay costs related to City Street repair and reconstruction projects including the 2nd Street Project, 2012-2013 Street Repair Projects and 2013-2014 Street Repair Projects, all considered essential corporate purposes, and it is deemed necessary and advisable that the authorization to redirect unspent funds previously budgeted for other projects, in some cases being unspent bond proceeds, in the maximum amounts of $4,110.00 from the Public Works Building funds, $40,700.00 from Generator funds, and $42,750.00 from the Sports Complex, respectively, be redirected to the Second Street Project, 2012-2013 Street Repair Project, and the 2013-2014 Street Repair Project, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Iowa Code, a notice must be published and a public hearing held before the redirection of bonded funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA, that a public hearing on the redirection of funds from previously budgeted and partially bonded for projects to other Public Purposes, specifically, City Street repair and reconstruction projects including the 2nd Street Project, 2012-2013 Street Repair Projects and 2013-2014 Street Repair Projects, be scheduled for the 16th day of December, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting set for that date.
