IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION # 13-114
Scheduling Public Hearing on Vacation of Right-of-Way and proposed transfer of Right-of-Way to adjacent property owners.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello has agreed to the Abandonment of certain unneeded right-of-way, generally described as “old” 190th Street, running through the Welter and Ballou properties, and
WHEREAS, That the vacation/abandonment of the ROW/Easement will result in the ownership interest of Ballou and Welter in the underlying property no longer being encumbered by the Road ROW/Easement, and
WHEREAS, Before the City can abandon and/or vacate the existing R.O.W. / Easement a public hearing should be scheduled and held.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby set January 6, 2014 at 6:00 PM for public hearing on the Abandonment and/or Vacation of the City Right of Way / Easement generally referred to as the Old 190th Street running through the Welter and Ballou properties, with a more detailed description to be included in the public notice of said Public Hearing.
