IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #13-115
Resolution to approve of the purchase of a New Holland skid loader
from Kromminga Motors at a price of $30,300.00
WHEREAS, the City Council held a goal setting meeting, including Department Heads, in January of 2013, and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Dpt. was identified as a department in need of various equipment, one of the pieces being a new skid loader, and
WHEREAS, all other P.W. equipment needs identified during the January 2012 goal setting have been purchased, the only remaining item identified at that time being the need for a new skid loader, and
WHEREAS, the City bonded for the purchase of P.W. equipment, and after buying other equipment, the sum of $43,557.71 remains on the books, and
WHEREAS, the Council finds the proposed purchase of a new skid loader is appropriate and should be approved, and based thereon directs that the P.W. Director move forward with the purchase of the New Holland skid loader, same representing the lowest bid of the readily available of three bids, all received from local dealers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the purchase of the New Holland Skid Loader from Kromminga Motors at the price of $30,300.00, including trade-in and directs the PW Director to move forward with the purchase and directs the City Clerk to issue payment in full to Kromminga Motors upon the completion of the purchase transaction.
