IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #13-84
Resolution approving Contract Amendment #2 between the City of Monticello and Evans Inspection Services, Inc. related to asbestos sampling at flood buy-out properties.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello approved of the hiring of Evan’s Inspection Services, Inc. to perform asbestos sampling at the former Julin Printing and Oak Street Manufacturing sites, and
WHEREAS, Subsequent to hiring Evan’s, it was determined that additional asbestos sampling was necessary, resulting in a proposed contract amendment and an increase in the project cost, and
WHEREAS, ECICOG, the City’s representative on this project determined that the proposed amendment was appropriate and necessary, and based thereon recommends that the City approve of the proposed Contract Amendment as presented, at a total additional cost of $915.00.
WHEREAS, The Council finds that Contract Amendment #2 should be and is hereby approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby authorize and direct the City Administrator to execute Contract Amendment #2 between the City of Monticello and Evans Inspection Services, Inc. related to asbestos sampling at the 225 S. Locust and 511 E. Oak Street flood buy-out properties.
