IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #14-104
Resolution to approve the hiring of Ament Design to prepare a project
scope/project phasing/project cost opinions, followed by the preparation
of Construction Drawings/Specs related to renovations, bidding
assistance, and construction observation
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello has bonded sums to see to the renovation and repair of the Monticello Community Building and has identified the Community Building project as a priority, and
WHEREAS, Ament Design prepared a Building Survey report for the City and has been hired to perform further study on the upstairs of the Community Building with a plan to determine whether or not renovations, and to what extent renovations, should be performed on the upper level, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that, after a review of the proposed agreement, that it is in the best interests of the City to move forward with the proposed project and that Ament Design should be hired to perform the necessary planning, architectural, and oversight services set out within the proposed agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby authorize and direct the Mayor to execute the proposed agreement between the City of Monticello and Ament Design.
