IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #14-107
Approving lighting upgrades / modifications to alleyway behind F & M Bank, Berndes Center Lot, and Jacobs Park
WHEREAS, The Police Chief has requested that a street light fixture located in the alleyway behind F & M Bank be updated from the existing 100W High Pressure Sodium to a 250W LED Flood to improve lighting and policing in the alleyway and surrounding areas, and
WHEREAS, The Public Works Director and Park and Recreation Director have requested and recommended lighting upgrades to the Berndes Center parking lot and Jacobs Park, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds all three of the above requests to be appropriate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the lighting upgrades / modifications to the alleyway behind F & M Bank, Berndes Center Lot, and Jacobs Park as set forth above, and directs city staff to work with Alliant Energy to bring about said lighting upgrades.
