IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #14-11
Resolution Accepting bids for Community Building Flat Roof Replacement
and Awarding bid to Advance Construction, Inc., in the amount of $11,075,
subject to the execution of an agreement by and between Advance Construction,
Inc. and the City of Monticello, same to set out the terms of the agreement between Advance Construction, Inc. and the City of Monticello with regard to said project.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello published a Notice to Bidders with regard to the replacement of the Community Building Roof in the Monticello Express, and
WHEREAS, Two bids were received, as follows:
Bidder Roof Pitch Base Bid Bid Alternate
Barnhart Construction 1/8 /12 $12,648.59 $409.70
Advance Construction 1/8 /12 $10,356.00
Advance Construction ¼ /12 $11,075.00
– and –
WHEREAS, The Council has reviewed the specifics of the bids and finds it appropriate to accept the bids and to award the project to Advance Construction bid for the roof pitch of ¼ /12 in the amount of $11,075.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby accept the bids and does hereby award the project to Advance Construction in the amount of $11,075.00, subject to the execution of an agreement by and between the City of Monticello and Advance Construction, same to set out the terms of the agreement between Advance Construction and the City of Monticello with regard to said project.
