IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #14-13
Resolution Accepting bids for Oak Street Shelter lining and trimming project, and Awarding bid to Monk Construction, Inc., subject to the execution of an agreement by and between Monk Construction, Inc. and the City of Monticello, same to set out the terms of the agreement between Monk Construction, Inc. and the City of Monticello with regard to said project.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello pursued bids related to the lining and trimming of the Oak Street shelter located on the property recently purchased by the City as part of the flood buy-out, and
WHEREAS, Bids were received from two contractors:
Bidder
Monk Construction, Inc. $12,992.00
Superior Steel & Concrete $21,301.00
– and –
WHEREAS, The Council has reviewed the specifics of the bids and finds it appropriate to accept the bids and to award the project to Monk Construction, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby accept the bids and does hereby award the project to Monk Construction, Inc in the amount of $12,992.00, subject to the execution of an agreement by and between the City of Monticello and Monk Construction, Inc., same to set out the terms of the agreement between Monk Construction, Inc., and the City of Monticello with regard to said project.
