IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #14-27
Approving Amendment to the Agreement between the City of Monticello and the Monticello Youth Baseball Softball Association (MYBSA)
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello previously entered into an agreement with the Monticello Youth Baseball Softball Association (MYBSA), and
WHEREAS, It has been determined, after discussions by and between MYBSA representatives, the City Administrator, and the Park and Recreation Director that the agreement needed clarification in regard to the MYBSA responsibilities as they pertained to 7th grade girls softball and 7th grade boys baseball, both being levels that the Park and Rec. Dpt. had little involvement with, and
WHEREAS, an amendment to the agreement between the City and the MYBSA has been drafted and proposed for consideration, said amendment being by this reference incorporated within this Resolution as if set forth fully verbatim herein, to clarify the specific responsibilities of the MYBSA to 7th grade softball and baseball, and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the amendment is appropriate, substantially matches the steps taken by the Park and Rec. program to assist those sports in the past, and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the proposed amendment to the agreement between the City of Monticello and the Monticello Youth Baseball Softball Association as attached hereto, and authorizes the Mayor to execute the same on behalf of the City.
