IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION # 14-79
Scheduling Public Hearing on sale of 50’ Strip of ground adjacent to Tony and Stacy White property, previously part of the Monticello Machine Shop property for August 18, 2014 at 6:00 p.m.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined it appropriate to sell a 50’ wide strip of ground adjacent to property owned by the Whites, same acquired by the City as part of the flood buy out, for the sum of $5,000, and
WHEREAS, the Whites have agreed to the proposed sale price of $5,000, and it is, therefore, appropriate to schedule a Public Hearing on the issue of said sale.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby schedule Public Hearing on the proposed sale of a strip of ground, 50’ in width, adjacent and east of property currently owned by the Whites, said public hearing to be held on August 18, 2014 at 6:00 p.m., at the Mary Lovell LeVan Renaissance Center, with appropriate notice to be published in the Monticello Express.
