IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #15-02
Resolution Scheduling Public Hearing on the Final Plans and Specifications, Proposed Form of Contract, and engineer’s cost estimate, related to the Community Building Asbestos Removal project for the 2nd day of February, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.
WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed the proposed plans and specifications, the form of contract, and the engineer’s cost estimate and finds that same should be preliminarily approved, and
WHEREAS, before the consideration and award of a bid on this project, the City must schedule and hold a public hearing on the final plans and specifications, form of contract, and engineer’s cost estimate, and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the Public Hearing should be held on the 2nd day of February, 2015 at 6:00 p.m., the regularly scheduled City Council meeting, so that the project may continue on schedule, with bids to be received by 2:00 p.m. on the 18th day of February to be opened shortly thereafter with bids accepted and a contract awarded shortly thereafter, with all work to be completed by the end of March, 2015.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of Monticello Council meeting in regular session this 19th day of January, 2015 does hereby preliminarily approve the plans and specifications, form of contract, and engineer’s cost estimate related to the Monticello Community Building asbestos removal project, and schedules a Public Hearing on the final plans and specifications, form of contract, and engineer’s cost estimate for February 2nd, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Mary Lovell LeVan Renaissance Center, 220 E. 1st Street, Monticello, Iowa, after which the Council will consider approval of the final plans and specifications, form of contract, and engineer’s cost estimate, and directs the City Administrator to see to the necessary publication of notices in regard hereto.
