IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #15-114
Approving Pay Request #2 and Change Order #1 submitted by Eastern Iowa Excavating & Concrete in the amount of $86,034.81 and $4,478.25, respectively,
related to the Downtown Parking Lot/ Pocket Park Project.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello, Iowa is an incorporated City within Jones County, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, Eastern Iowa Excavating & Concrete, Inc. contracted with the City to perform specified improvements associated with a new downtown parking lot, alleyway improvements, and ramp improvements to access the Pocket Park, and
WHEREAS, The proposed payment includes sums related to Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $4,478.25, same related to the paving of an adjacent driveway, and
WHEREAS, The City Engineer has recommended that the City Council approve the 2nd pay request in the amount of $86,034.81.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve Pay Request #2 submitted by Eastern Iowa Excavating & Concrete, Inc. in the amount of $86,034.81 and Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $4,478.25, the payment of $86,034.81 reflecting the maintenance of a 5% retainage by the City.
