IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION # 15-27
Resolution to approve City Software Agreement with Data Technologies
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello utilizes software and in some cases specific hardware units to operate utility billing, payroll, and other related “business” software, and
WHEREAS, the City has utilized ACS Software through IBM for a great number of years, and
WHEREAS, City staff has investigated the availability of other software options, and has determined it to be in the best interests of the City to switch software from ACS to Data Technologies based upon the offerings of the software, short term and long term cost savings, the user friendly nature of the software, and the fact that ACS may be the least utilized software by Cities in the State of Iowa while the Summit Software offered through Data Technologies is in use at over 300 Iowa cities, and
WHEREAS, the proposed agreement between the City and Data Technologies provides for a down payment of $19,847.50, representing 50% of the purchase and installation price.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby authorize the City Administrator to enter into the proposed agreement with Data Technologies, Inc. and to pay the down payment as set out within the agreement in the amount of $19,847.50.
