IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #15-55
Approving Contract with “PCC, Inc.” an Ambulance Billing Service.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello operates an Ambulance service, and
WHEREAS, As part of that Ambulance service, the City of Monticello has the responsibility to its’ citizens to appropriately bill for services rendered to ensure a responsible use of tax dollars, as well as a responsibility and legal obligation to bill for services in a legally appropriate manner, and
WHEREAS, To ensure the actual filing and submission of appropriate/legal claims, the collection of receivables, and the legal coding of all claims, the hiring of a billing service is an appropriate, and
WHEREAS, PCC, Inc., has been working for the City since late 2007 and has performed consistent with our expectations and has proposed the entry into a new and updated agreement that has been found to be agreeable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve the entry into a Contract with PCC, Inc., an Ambulance Billing Service, for three (3) years at eight percent (8%), consistent with the actual contract language, and does hereby authorize the City Administrator to execute the contract on the City’s behalf and to sign whatever other documentation is necessary and appropriate to allow PCC, Inc. to continue to represent the City of Monticello Ambulance Department.
