IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #15-84
Resolution to approve IAS Site Plan
WHEREAS, IAS proposes to construct a Fertilizer Building and Liquid Fertilizer tank on property currently owned by IAS, same being part of their current facility near the south end of Monticello, and
WHEREAS, The proposed Site Plan has been reviewed by the City Engineer and City Administrator who have consulted with IAS on various requirements associated therewith, with a final site plan being eventually agreed to, and
WHEREAS, The Planning & Zoning Board previously discussed this project and the ongoing discussions between the City and IAS, and has subsequently approved the site plan, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that IAS submitted the site plan with a building permit application and that steps were taken to ensure that the proposed project met setbacks and other building requirements, and that the only issue, requiring consideration, surrounded the construction of a new access to South Main / Business 151, and
WHEREAS, IAS has agreed that the new access will be marked as Exit only, and the Council finds that the Exit only designation is appropriate and that the new Exit only access will help traffic flow from the facility, relieving pressure on 190th Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve the IAS Site Plan.
