IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #15-98
Approving Midwest Concrete LLC pay request in the amount of $42,166.51, same representing sums due related to the 2015 Maple Street Repair project
in the amount of $42,166.51
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello, Iowa is an incorporated city within Jones County, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, Midwest Concrete LLC contracted with the City to perform repairs to Maple Street in the fall of 2015, and
WHEREAS, Said project has been substantially completed and the City Engineer has recommended payment to the contractor in the amount of $42,166.51, maintaining a retainage in the amount of $2,219.29, with joint sealing being the only remaining step to be completed, and
WHEREAS, The Council approved of the Midwest Concrete LLC bid by way of Resolution #15-76 in the amount of $41,275, with the understanding that additional work may be required, increasing the price of the project based upon unit pricing, and that during the project additional work was in fact requested and performed, resulting in a total amount due of $44,385.80, an increase of $3,110.80.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve Pay Request #1 from Midwest Concrete LLC in the amount of $42,166.51 related to the 2015 Maple Street Repairs and Change Order #1 in the amount of $3,110.80, with retainage in the amount of $2,219.29 to be paid, subject to the recommendation of the City Engineer, after December 1, 2015.
