The City of Monticello, Iowa
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #16-100
Scheduling Public Hearing on the Zoning of certain properties recently Annexed to
the City of Monticello and newly created parcels identified as Parcel 2016-14 and
Parcel 2016-15 for November 7th, 2016 at 6:00 p.m.
WHEREAS, The Monticello Code of Ordinances provides that properties annexed to the City of Monticello are zoned A-1 Agricultural upon annexation, and
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello recently completed the annexation of various properties, and it is now, therefore, appropriate to address the zoning of said properties, and
WHEREAS, An R-1 zoned parcel was recently divided into two parcels, and each parcel shall now be considered for appropriate zoning, and
WHEREAS, the Council shall set a Public Hearing before modifying the zoning of properties within the City limits of the City of Monticello, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that notice shall be published in the Monticello Express on that a Public Hearing will be held on the proposed zoning of recently annexed properties and Parcel 2016-14 and 2016-15 on the 7th day of November, 2016 at 6:00 p.m., with the notice to specify, generally, the locations of the properties proposed to be zoned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby schedule a Public Hearing on the proposed zoning of recently annexed properties, as well as recently created parcels identified as Parcel 2016-14 and 2016-15, for the 7th day of November 2016 at 6:00 p.m. to be held in the City Council Chambers at the Mary Lovell LeVan Renaissance Center in Monticello, Iowa.
