IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #16-104
Approving Job Descriptions for Director of Parks and Recreation and
Parks and Facilities Superintendent
WHEREAS, The City Council has determined it appropriate to increase the staff of the Monticello Park and Recreation department from one FT staff to two FT staff, and
WHEREAS, The two FT positions are to be a Director of Parks and Recreation which shall be a FT salaried position and a Parks and Facilities Superintendent which shall be a FT hourly position, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the City should advertise for both positions and hold interviews before making a decision on the final salary/wage and related benefits.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve the Job Descriptions as presented and authorizes the City Administrator to take steps to advertise for said positions, to collect resumes and other application materials, and to set up a committee and schedule related to the review of applications/resumes and interviews.
