IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #16-45
Resolution Approving Plans and Specifications, Notice of Hearing, Notice to Bidders, Form of Contract, and Cost Estimate related to the 2016 Grading and Apron Extension (for Future Ten-Unit Hangar) IDOT Project No. 9l160MXO100, and scheduling Public Hearing on the Final Plans and Specifications, Proposed Form of Contract, and engineer’s cost estimate for May 02, 2016 at 6:00 p.m.
WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed the proposed plans and specifications, notice of hearing, notice to bidders, form of contract, and the engineer’s cost estimate, and does hereby preliminarily approve of same, and
WHEREAS, the aforementioned plans, specifications, and the engineer’s cost estimate have been prepared by the City Engineer and reviewed by the FAA and the IDOT Aviation Division, with appropriate revisions and modifications made thereto after input by the FAA and IDOT, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends that the Council direct the City Engineer to file detailed plans and specifications covering the Project, including a notice of hearing, notice to bidders, form of contract, and cost estimate with the City Clerk, and that a Public Hearing be set on said documents for the 2nd day of May, 2016 at 6:00 p.m., with a plan to let the project for bid on May 5, 2016 and to consider an award of the project to the lowest responsible responsive bidder at the City Council meeting of May 16th, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds it appropriate to approve the proposed plans and specifications, notice of hearing, notice to bidders, form of contract, and the engineer’s cost estimate, to direct that said documents be filed with the City Clerk, and to schedule a public hearing on same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of Monticello Council meeting in regular session this 4th day of April, 2016 does hereby approve the proposed plans and specifications, notice of hearing, notice to bidders, form of contract, and the engineer’s cost estimate, and directs the City Engineer to file said documents with the City Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a Public Hearing on the final plans and specifications, form of contract, and engineer’s cost estimate is hereby set for the 2nd day of May, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers at the Mary Lovell LeVan Renaissance Center, 220 E. 1st Street, Monticello, Iowa, after which the Council will consider final approval of said plans and specifications, form of contract, and engineer’s cost estimate, and authorizes the City Administrator to see to the distribution and/or publication of any and all appropriate notices and advertisements per the Code of Iowa in regard to the letting, Public Hearing, and any other matter for which publication/notice is required in regard to this project.
