IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #16-52
Approving Application for Tax Abatement on Improvements to
the property located at 106 E. First Street, Monticello, Iowa.
WHEREAS, Monticello has enacted an Urban Revitalization Tax Abatement program and codified same at Chapter 10 of the Monticello Code of Ordinances, and
WHEREAS, The owners of the Monticello Carpet and Interiors building, Maryville Family Partnership, have requested the standard commercial tax abatement on the improvements located at 106 E. 1st Street, Monticello, Iowa, same utilized for commercial/industrial purposes, and
WHEREAS, The City Council has reviewed said Application, and finds that the information submitted therein is consistent with that required by the Monticello Code of Ordinances.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve the Application for Tax Abatement filed by Maryville Family Partnership, owners of property located at 106 E. 1st Street, Monticello, Iowa, consistent with Chapter 10 of the Monticello Code of Ordinances, and further directs the Monticello City Clerk to file the Application and this Resolution with the Jones County Assessor as prescribed by law.
