Resolution to approve Five Year Maintenance Agreement between City and
IDOT Re: Hwy. 38 through Monticello
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello and the IDOT enter into an updated five year maintenance agreement related to the responsibilities of each to various infrastructure associated with Hwy. 38 through Monticello, and
WHEREAS, The current agreement is set to expire on June 30, 2016 and the IDOT has proposed a new agreement, basically extending the prior agreement, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds the agreement to be in the best interests of the City as it clearly sets out the IDOT and City obligations, and that same should be approved
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 18th day of April, 2016 that the proposed five year maintenance agreement between the IDOT and the City of Monticello is hereby approved and the Mayor is authorized to execute same on behalf of the City Council.
