IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #16-67
Resolution to Appoint Dawn Brus as Interim Lead Paramedic
for the Monticello Ambulance Service.
WHEREAS, Due to the resignation of the MAS Director it has been deemed necessary to appoint an Interim person to act as the primary point of contact within the Department, and
WHEREAS, The Ambulance Service has in the past filled said temporary role with an existing full time paramedic, giving that person the title of “Interim Lead Paramedic”, and
WHEREAS, The current Monticello Ambulance Director recommended the appointment of FT Paramedic Dawn Brus to that role, and after visiting with Paramedic Brus the City Administrator also recommended her appointment to that position, and
WHEREAS, As Interim Lead Paramedic, Brus will have additional duties and responsibilities, and for that reason the Administrator has recommended that she receive an addition sum of fifty cents (.50) per hour in addition to her current wage during the time that she is serving as Interim Lead Paramedic.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the appointment of Dawn Brus as Interim Lead Paramedic for the Monticello Ambulance Service, effective May 23, 2016, until further Resolution of the City Council or until the hiring and appointment of an Ambulance Director, whichever occurs first.
