IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #18-35
Resolution to authorize entry into agreement with Anderson Ladd, Inc. related to purchase and installation of new flooring system at the Monticello Berndes Center.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello is the owner of the Monticello Berndes Center, a multi-use facility that has for many years been served by a multi-use “Sport Court” flooring system, and
WHEREAS, The City Council, in consultation with the City Park and Recreation Director and the City Administrator have determined that the existing Sport Court system has passed its life expectancy and is in need of replacement, and
WHEREAS, The City Council has determined that a seamless floor system as opposed to a Sport Court tile system is a better solution to the multitude of purposes served by the Monticello Berndes Center and that the flooring solution proposed by Anderson Ladd, Inc. would meet the needs of the Berndes Center now and for years to come, and
WHEREAS, The City Council finds it appropriate to authorize the City Administrator to execute an agreement with Anderson Ladd, Inc. to move forward with this project, with planned sport court floor removal to occur at or near the beginning of July, 2018, concrete floor patching and smoothing to occur during the month of July with the new Pulastic ECO 90 floor system to be installed during the month of August, 2018.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the entry into an agreement with Anderson Ladd, Inc. related to the installation of a Pulastic Classic ECO 90 flooring system in the large multi-purpose room at the Monticello Berndes Center and authorizes the City Administrator to execute the agreement with Anderson Ladd, Inc. on behalf of the Monticello City Council.
