IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #2020-128
Approving Payment to Klocke’s Emergency Vehicles in the amount of $213,048 for new Ambulance
WHEREAS, The City Council previously authorized the purchase of a new ambulance to replace the 2008 unit, and after a bid process chose to purchase the Ambulance from Klocke’s Emergency Vehicles, and
WHEREAS, That the ambulance was ordered, has been under construction for many months, and is scheduled to be delivered on November 19th, and
WHEREAS, The City successfully secured an USDA grant in the amount of $73,000, and will also receive funds from the MEMT to cover a portion of the total Ambulace cost, and
WHEREAS, To be in a position to finalize the USDA grant and to receive the $73,000 investment from the USDA as soon as possible, this Resolution approves the issuance of a check to Klocke’s Emergency Vehicles in the total amount of $213,048, said check to be delivered by Police Chief/Ambulance Administator Britt Smith upon the receipt and acceptance of the ambulance, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds it appropriate to authorize payment of the balance due Life Line upon delivery of the vehicle as set forth herein.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Monticello, Iowa does hereby authorize the preparation and delivery of a check in the amount of $213,048 payable to Klocke’s Emergency Vehicles in full payment of the invoice related to the purchase of a new Ambulance
