IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #2020-16
Approval of FY 2021 Maximum Property Tax Dollars
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Monticello have considered the proposed FY 2021 city maximum property tax dollars for the affected levy total, and
WHEREAS, a notice concerning the proposed city maximum property tax dollars was published as required and posted on city web site and/or social media accounts if applicable,
WHEREAS, a public hearing concerning the proposed city maximum property tax dollars was held on February 4, 2020,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Monticello that the maximum property tax dollars for the affected tax levies for FY 2021 shall not exceed the following total:
Total maximum levy for affected property tax levies – $1,486,590
The Maximum Property Tax dollars requested in the total maximum levy for affected property tax levies for FY 2021 does not represent an increase of greater than 102% from the Maximum Property Tax dollars requested for FY 2020.
