IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #2020-98
Approving proposed fees related to Cemetery Columbarium Niches
WHEREAS, The Cemetery Board has reviewed fees currently charged purchasers of niche spaces in the columbarium and found that the fees no longer cover the costs associated with the niche, attachment of scroll and final date, etc., due to increased product costs, and
WHEREAS, The Cemetery Board recommends that the cost of the niches, from this point forward, include at a cost of $708.00 the plate and installation of the plate, but not include the scroll and final date ribbons which shall be invoiced and collected at such time as they are ordered, same to be invoiced at cost plus 10%, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the recommendation of the Cemetery Board should be followed, the Board being responsible for general Cemetery oversight and management of the budget.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council does hereby approve the recommendation of the Board, authorizing the sale of niches from this point forward to include a cost/fee of $708 for the plate and plate installation with the costs associated with the scroll and final date ribbons to be invoiced at actual cost plus 10% at such time that they are ordered and installed.
