IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #2022-150
Approving and directing City Administrator to accept ownership of the Parcel ID 0222379010, by the acceptance of a Quit Claim Deed from BR3 Development LLC, and directing the City Clerk to see to the recordation of said Deed with the Jones County Recorder
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello has been asked to accept ownership of the Parcel
ID 0222379010, which is Lot 3 of the BR3 Subdivision from BR3 Development LLC, and
WHEREAS, BR3 Development constructed a grocery store on Lot 1 of the BR3 Subdivision and has recently said Lot 1, and
WHEREAS, BR3 Development LLC’s Development Agreement with City of Monticello, dated March 1, 2021, required the dedication of the large wooded area to the City for park land, and no longer need this lot, and
WHEREAS, The City Council directs City Administrator to work with BR3 Development LLC and accept the receipt of the Quit Claim Deed for consideration of One Dollar ($1.00) and other valuable consideration, and that BR3 Development LLC conveys to the City of Monticello, Iowa, the following described real estate in Jones County, Iowa:
Lot 3, of BR3 Subdivision, T86N, R3W of the Fifth P.M., in the City of Monticello, Jones County, Iowa
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby authorize City Administrator to accept a Quit Claim Deed from BR3 Development LLC for the property, as stated above, and directs the City Clerk to see to the recordation of said deed with the Jones County Recorder.
