RESOLUTION #2023-86
Accepting bid for Tree Removal along North Cedar Street and awarding bid
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello Public Works Department sought bids related to tree removal with the North Cedar Street, and
WHEREAS, Public Works Director sent out three request for bids and two bids were received, as follows:
Bidder Tree Removal
Kammiller Tree Service $30,900.00
Cy’s Tree Service $74,000.00
– and –
WHEREAS, The Council has reviewed the bid and finds it appropriate to accept the bid and to award the Tree Removal project to the low bidder, Kammiller Tree Service, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that Kammiller Tree Service should be notified that they have been awarded the project but that Kammiller Tree Service may not proceed until being given permission to proceed by the City of Monticello Public Works Director.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby accept the bid and does hereby award the Tree Removal project to Kammiller Tree Service, subject to his subsequent receipt of permission and direction to proceed by Public Works Director Nick Kahler.
