RESOLUTION #2026-125
Approving contracting with Kluesner Construction Inc.,
to Complete Asphalt paving at the intersection
of 1st Street and Chestnut Street
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello sought a proposal from Kluesner Construction Inc., to asphalt pave the intersection of 1st Street and Chestnut Street in the community, and
WHEREAS, The Public Works Director requested a quote to asphalt pave the intersection of 1st Street and Chestnut Street, that is need of some maintenance work, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds the hiring of Kluesner to perform the asphalt paving project proposed to be appropriate, with the proposed estimated cost being $10,880.00 and directs the Public Works Director to accept the proposal of Kluesner Construction Inc and to schedule this project for completion, and,
WHEREAS, The proposal notes that the final cost of all work and materials will be based on actual quantities, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve contracting with Kluesner to complete asphalt paving of the intersection of 1st Street and Chestnut Street and authorizes the Public Works Director to accept the proposals of Kluesner Construction Inc on behalf of the City.
