RESOLUTION # 10-44
Approving and authorizing Porter & Porter Construction LLC to proceed with amendments to scope of project as set out in Proposal Request #7.
WHEREAS, Porter & Porter Construction LLC contracted with the City to complete construction of the Monticello Emergency Response Center, and
WHEREAS, The above-referenced project is proceeding, and Porter & Porter Construction has encountered an unknown and unanticipated “bad soil” condition, and has also been requested by city staff to consider changes to the project design, and
WHEREAS, The unknown and unanticipated “bad soil” and the requested modifications add cost to the project, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that Porter and Porter should proceed with the proposals set out in “Proposal Request #7, a copy of same being appended hereto, as indicated below:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve and authorize Porter and Porter Construction LLC to proceed with the amendments approved immediately above hereto, as more fully explained in the Proposal Request #7 appended hereto.
