IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #11-44
Resolution Approving Plat of Survey to Parcel 2011-14 and 2011-15
WHEREAS, A Plat of Survey setting out Parcel 2011-14 and 2011-15, both being adjacent to one another and located within the City Limits of the City of Monticello, has been presented to the City for approval, and
WHEREAS, The City Planning and Zoning Board has reviewed the Plat of Survey on two occasions, but did not come to a consensus on a recommendation to the City Council, and
WHEREAS, The City Council has reviewed the Plat of Survey and finds that it complies with past practices of the City and further finds that the layout of the two parcels was based upon and met with the direction and approval of the Public Works Director, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that some clarification of the City Ordinances is appropriate with regard to required “street frontage” and/or required “lot width”, and directs the City Administrator and Public Works Director to work with the Planning and Zoning Board on a recommendation to the City Council on this issue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve the Plat of Survey to Parcel 2011-14 and 2011-15, and further directs the City Administrator and Public Works Director to work with the Planning and Zoning Board on a recommendation to the City Council on proposed modifications or clarifications to the Ordinance in regard to lot width / street frontage requirements.
